Match MG is seeking a Senior Account Manager for our Portland, OR office to work on a globally recognized athletic and lifestyle brand. This candidate is a focused professional who paves the path to a successful agency-client relationship while leaning on experience to guide a team from concept to activation. A team leader and builder both internally and externally. An identifier of problems and champion of solutions. A story teller who creates relevance and context around activations and excitement for the many possibilities of partnership. An influencer who can mentor internally and take our message face to face with clients.


The Senior Account Manager is expected to be an internal leader and drive the success of the PDX office. In this role, you will be the day-to-day accounts oversight and client liaison on dedicated programs from development through complete execution, managing all facets independently with little supervision. This candidate should have a strong knowledge of experiential marketing concepts and experience with: integrated marketing events, event production, fabrication, promotions, and social media campaigns. This role requires a visionary that is in tune with industry trends, tech on the vanguard and able to design innovative consumer journeys that align with brand image and goals. He or she will be an inspired presenter, rallying excitement around the possibilities of working with the agency and capturing how Match can assist in achieving KPI’s and client objectives.

Ability to travel nationwide up to 40%.


Responsible for the overall management of projects, always striving to push the standards on agency output and maximization of client relationships, ROI, and account profitability.

A senior point of contact for client, providing innovative short and long-term strategic marketing guidance, problem-solving and business solutions, across all business units and platforms

Fully understand the client’s business needs and challenges (including current industry knowledge), while committed to delivering the agency’s business objectives and goals.

Implement client solutions through complete execution, including project, budget and timeline management, production and build facets as well as collaboration with Strategy and Creative departments.

Provide added value to client business through seamless execution, innovative solutions, and progressive ideas.

Foster strong relationships and communications built on trust with both the client and internal teams.

Lead within a team environment to reach goals for experiential programs while exceeding clients’ expectations.

Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies and companies that are changing our client’s business.

Aide in the development, writing and presentations of strong presentations, briefs, ongoing check-ins and reports to clients with leadership.

Maintain a leadership role within the office from an accounts perspective while working closely with the Boulder team.

Assure resources are marshaled and effectively applied to the account.

Keep senior account leadership informed of all account activities.

Develop, manage, and reconcile budgets and help forecast client revenue.

Manage direct reports to delegate project work while setting and nurturing growth goals.


Minimum 4-6 years of agency/event/brand/marketing experience

Additional experience in at least one specialized area out of the following: retail design, fabrication, sports/music event management/production, mobile marketing tours.

Bachelor’s degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong presentation skills

Ability to work autonomously and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Solid leadership, organization, delegation, and prioritization skills within a team environment

Sound industry knowledge, solid judgement, and confirmed strategic planning skills

Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership, proactive approach, drive and desire to be accountable for performance
