General Summary

The Global Art Director oversees brand and product identity creation and management across all regions and product categories. This role aligns local and regional designers as well as external creative agencies to ensure brand accuracy and consistency across marketing platforms with a high degree of sensitivity for regional culture environments.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of designers to deliver key graphic packages, marketing campaign visuals, and retail design concepts seasonally
  • Collaborates with leads in marketing, copywriting, and content development to develop seasonal stories and campaigns
  • Develops art and photography asset packages in sync with seasonal milestones and product initiatives
  • Creates design guides, mood boards, and finished key-art assets for regional and channel teams to follow
  • Provides art direction for tradeshows and events
  • Develop advertising campaigns for print, out-of-home, digital, direct-mail, and social media
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to direct reports and junior designers within the creative team, including designers located in global regions. Manages a team in a fast-paced open atmosphere
  • Partners with internal groups to create compelling online experiences
  • Provides go-to-market assets in a timely fashion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or related field
  • Minimum seven years of experience in graphic design in an agency or brand environment
  • Documented experience building concise briefs for photoshoots
  • Documented experience building & presenting pitches
  • Documented Experience in creative project management & collaboration tools
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe creative suite focusing on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom
  • Proficiency in Keynote or PowerPoint is preferred
  • Mastery of design and composition for advertising, communication, packaging, and retail
  • Mastery of color theory and color systems for print and digital design
  • Mastery of typography and building hierarchal messaging systems in style guides
  • High level abilities to direct photo retouching, compositing, and technical illustration
  • High level abilities to interact professionally with clients and distill insight for creative solutions
  • Ability to collaborate and take creative direction
  • Thorough understanding the go-to-market process, ideally with experience in footwear, fashion or a related industry

Travel Required

Up to 10% of work time will involve travel
