Front End Developer 17 July 2010
* Do you completely own image replacement, sliding doors and CSS sprites?
* Have an opinion on using conditional comments versus hacks in your CSS documents?
* Do you have at least an idea of what a Microformat is?
* Are you aware of the fine line between lean code and readable code?
* Do you get angry at poorly conceived interfaces?
If your answer was yes across the board, we just might give you a job.
As the Tech Department here at ISITE Design continues to grow, we find ourselves in need of a self-starting/team-loving FED (Front End Developer) to join our rock and roll ranks and support the department. The FED position is responsible for producing standards-compliant sites and web applications crafted with dead sexy XHTML. Your knowledge of POSH, Web Standards, web accessibility, markup languages, scripting, basic graphic design, and communication skills will be used to assemble websites, CMS templates, application interfaces and other bits of joy and happiness for some great clients like Ecotrust, MTV, Farm Aid, SolarWorld and Zipcar.
What makes you a good fit?
Pluses: Subversion, experience with more than one CMS, jQuery, opinions, play the drums, typography love, alphabetized CSS declarations.
Minuses: “I’d rather be a designer”, another guitar player.
